Machine trouble FAQ

Persons in charge of machine operation and maintenance for machine trouble FAQs must have received the necessary training in machine handling in advance, have a sufficient understanding of safe operation, and be approved as "qualified" by the user's safety manager.

In particular, electrical maintenance of machinery should be limited to those who have certain qualifications (e.g., chief electrical engineer) as required by law.

Please refrain from operating or working on the machine if you are unfamiliar with its operation or lack safety knowledge.

When using the 100 VAC outlet next to the operation panel, the "2027 Outlet OFF CP-3" alarm appears. What should I do? (Target product: TMC-40V15)

Target product: TMC-40V15
Part: Control panel

< FAQ NO. FAQ-M066 >

Please check the following measures.

It is believed that the device connected to or used in the outlet has exceeded the specified current value (3A).

Disconnect the connected equipment, and since the lever of the circuit breaker (device number "CP-3") in the control panel is probably in the OFF state with the lever down, raise the lever and return it to the ON state, then press the reset button to clear the alarm.

If the above solutions do not solve the problem, please contact our Customer Support.

The main breaker of the machine and the control panel tripped during processing. The temperature display on the control panel air conditioner showed 51°C. (Target product: TMC-40V15)

Target product: TMC-40V15
Part: Control panel

< FAQ NO. FAQ-M067 >

Please check the following measures.

  • If the main breaker is a ground-fault breaker, the equipment used in the machine may be leaking current. If it is a leakage current breaker, check the sensitivity current value.
Since the temperature display on the control panel air conditioner is high, it is possible that the cooling fan is leaking power.
If there is a measuring device, turn off the power supply and check the insulation resistance between each phase of the cooling fan and between each phase and ground.
  • If the main breaker is not a ground-fault breaker, the breaker itself may be defective. Consider replacing it.

If the above solutions do not resolve the problem, please contact our Customer Support.

The "1010 Overload Relay" alarm occurred. What is the best way to deal with it? (Target product: TMC-40V15)

Target product: TMC-40V15
Part: Control panel

< FAQ NO. FAQ-M068 >

Please check the following measures.

  1. Check to see if the breaker or thermal relay in the control panel is tripped (OFF), and check the equipment number that is tripped.
  2. Please check for burn marks, loose wires, and loose terminal screws on the tripped equipment, connected wires, terminals, etc.
  3. If it is a breaker, raise the lever. If it is a thermal relay, press the reset button of the thermal relay to release it.

If the above measures do not release the device, or if the problem recurs, there may be a faulty breaker or thermal relay, a faulty device (motor, etc.), or faulty wiring.

I received a "318 APC Alarm: X-axis battery low 2" alarm. Please let me know what to do. (Target product: TMC-40V11)

Target product: TMC-40V11
Part: Control panel

< FAQ NO. FAQ-M069 >

The battery voltage for the X-axis may have dropped to the battery replacement level in the past or is already at the replacement level. Replace the battery in the battery case attached to the control panel door according to the following procedure.

  1. Prepare four new commercially available alkaline batteries (single) as replacement batteries.
  2. Turn on the power of the machine (NC). (The screen is on.) (3) Turn on the power of the machine (NC).
*If the batteries are replaced while the power is off, the stored absolute position data of the machine will be lost and the homing readjustment will be necessary.
  3. Loosen the battery case screws and remove the lid.
  4. Replace the dry cell battery in the case with a new one, taking care to orient it in the positive/negative direction.
  5. Attach the case lid.
  6. Turn the power OFF and ON again.
  7. If the low battery alarm disappears, you are done. If the alarm is still displayed, turn the power off and then on again.

This completes the process of replacing the battery, but if the alarm does not go away, please contact our Customer's Support for further assistance.

The main breaker (handle) on the control panel door does not turn up. (Target product: TMC-40VP13)

Target product: TMC-40VP13
Part: Control panel

< FAQ NO. FAQ-M072 >

Please check the following measures.

  • Open the control panel door and check to see if the lever on the breaker body lifts. If the breaker has tripped, the lever will stop halfway between the "ON" and "OFF" positions. To turn it back on, lower the handle once to the "OFF" position and then raise it to the "ON" position. If it still does not go up, the breaker may be faulty, so please contact our customer's support.
  • Check if the lever on the breaker body and the handle on the door side are properly aligned. If the lever does not go up even if the position is correct, the handle may be damaged, etc. Contact our customer support.

< FAQ NO. FAQ-K011 >

Please check the following measures.

  1. Check that no parts have been removed and that wiring and piping are connected.
  2. Check the quantity and deteriorated condition of the lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, and coolant tank, and replenish or replace if necessary.
  3. Do not turn the hydraulic pressure and lubrication and do not move it until the hydraulic oil and lubricant reach each part.
If the oil is not well distributed, seizure may occur.
  4. Turn on the power and check if the pressure of the hydraulic unit is normal.
f the pressure is out of the set pressure (gauge setting: set pressure varies depending on specifications), check the hydraulic pump and adjust the pressure.
    <Pressure adjustment method>
①Loosen the lock nut on the pressure adjustment screw.
②Turn the pressure adjustment screw to adjust the discharge pressure.
・To increase pressure: Turn clockwise (clockwise rotation).
・To reduce pressure: Turn counterclockwise (left turn).
③Tighten the lock nut of the pressure adjustment screw.
  5. Check if the pressure in the lubrication unit is normal.
If the pressure is out of the set pressure (gauge setting: set pressure varies depending on specifications), check the lubrication pump and adjust the pressure.
  6. Check if the chuck rest operates properly.
Grease up and clean. Refer to the instruction manual for the lubrication points.
  7. Before moving the shaft, make sure that there are no interfering objects in the equipment, and if chips have accumulated or adhered, clean the equipment before starting operation.
  8. Check the machine home position of each axis.
Check that the origin nameplate matches at the origin position of each axis.
If the origin is misaligned, origin setting (adjustment) is required.
  9.  Please perform a thorough break-in operation.
Check the instruction manual (maintenance section) for details.
